Events // Financial Modelling Summit dates announced

This year's Financial Modelling Summit, together with an expanded Financial Modelling Awards, will take place on June 24th and 25th. The event is going to be bigger and better than ever; more speakers, more networking opportunities and in-depth masterclasses. We'll be sharing more over the coming weeks but for now - mark your diary; you're not going to want to miss this.

Article // How to speed up your financial models

Mazars have completed their excellent three-part series on how to speed up financial models. This is a topic that many modellers writing larger, more complex models struggle with. Read the final installment and catch up with Part 1 and Part 2.

Book // The Almanac of Naval Ravikant

This week I've been reading the Almanac of Naval Ravikant, the "Angel Philosopher". It's a collection of his writings drawn from Twitter, interviews, and his (excellent) podcast over the last decade. If you're familiar with Poor Charlie's Almanac, you'll love this. You can download the PDF for free, or get the print version from the usual place. This is a book I'm going to keep coming back to. Article // Kenny mistakes article

This week I made a mistake while flying that could easily have killed me. In this article I reflect on organisational culture around making mistakes, and in particular what we can learn as financial modellers from aviation. Read more. Kenny.
