Excel for Mac 

Accelerator keys adds all the missing shortcuts for Mac

One of the reasons I've struggled to fully adopt Excel for Mac is all the missing keyboard shortcuts. I've mentioned Accelerator Keys previously in the Miscellany and reviewed it on the Financial Modelling Handbook site. I was frustrated that it did a partial job of adding the missing keystrokes. With their latest update they claim to have added the 200 missing ribbon-based keystrokes. It only dropped on Friday so I haven't tested. But I will and will report back in a future Misc. Read more about the update.

Bitcoin at the crossroads - consolidation or dead cat bouncing?

Since November 2021, Bitcoin investors seemed to have realised that the first crypto asset had only temporarily benefited from a speculative bubble. But prices have stabilised since June, fuelled by new inflows and increasing service offers by the established financial industry. Where next for Bitcoin? Is this ongoing price stability consolidation or a dead cat bounce? This article explores.

Openbox adds super focus mode

Openbox, a model build app, recently added an update that expands the way users can visualise their models. Previously, it was possible to see one level of dependency and precedence in any one view. Now this view can expand to show multiple levels. This was one of the most commonly requested features by users. This week the 15 finalists for the Earthshot Prize were announced. The Earthshot Prize was designed to find and grow the solutions that will repair our planet this decade. With so few positives in the news at the moment - this makes encouraging reading.
